We are the Winederers, passionate wine wanderers looking to educate ourselves and others as regards wines, wineries and wine tourism through a friendly, down-to-earth approach, which does away with the pretentiousness that is sometimes thought to surround wine. We will do so by telling tales of wine and wineries throughout the world, documenting our wine traveling and the gems we find along the way and attending and reporting on tasting events.
Since the Winederers are Romanian based, the blog will have a strong focus on Romanian wines and wineries, but we deem ourselves to be “wine citizens of the world” and are equally passionate about the traditional wine power houses of Europe and beyond.

These are the Winderers:
Sandra is an avid ever-learner and, as any wine devotee knows all too well, there are few areas more challenging in terms of volume and diversity of the knowledge required than wine. Sandra is currently a M. Sc. candidate in Advanced technologies, management and marketing in viticulture and wine-making with the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest and is pursuing the WSET Diploma. When not enjoying a fine glass of wine or reading about it, Sandra is a lawyer, holding a LL.B and an LL.M from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and pursuing an LL.M with the University of London, International Programmes.
Adrian is passionate about visuals and taste and nothing conveys those two better than photography and wine. Whilst it is widely acknowledged that a picture is worth a thousand words, Adrian has yet to convince people that a glass of wine does that job fairly well also (but is still trying). All photography included on the Winederers blog is taken and/or edited by Adrian, who is also a photographer when not seeing to his day job in photo equipment sales or the two Winederer cats, Maggie and Daisy. Adrian is currently a M. Sc. candidate in Advanced technologies, management and marketing in viticulture and wine-making with the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, has completed WSET Level 2 and is contemplating Level 3 going forward.
